Minnesota River Valley Photography - 02/29/200802/29/2008 - Here is a collection of photograph's from the Minnesota River Valley. This album is a continuation of the Minnesota River Valley National Wild Life Refuge photography that I have been working on over the years. Today I found a Beaver Dam that I'm going to have to watch for signs of life over the next few weeks. Also the number of deer roaming around the river valley was pretty crazy. I counted over a dozen deer running around together like a wolf pack. 1 Here is something that I was not expecting to see. I was able to photograph a group of Trumpeter Swan's flying over me. 3 I found a Beaver Dam. Wow, I could get in trouble if I said that on TV... Beaver and Dam... Ok seriously, here is a photograph of a Beaver Dam that I found in the Minnesota River National Wildlife Refuge. The whole area had tree's that were cut down by the Beaver or Beaver's. 5 Another photograph of the Beaver Dam that I found in the Minnesota River National Wildlife Refuge. 6 Here is another photograph of the Beavers Dam that I found. I could not get too close to it since it was pretty much surounded by water. 7 Here is a photograph of a Duck that was in flight that I was able to get that looked somewhat decent. I would have loved to get it flying with some snow in the back ground to make the colors stand out but I'll take what I can get while I was playing with the new lens. 8 Head's Up, here is a photograph of a deer running across the road with on coming traffic ready hit it. There was a whole group of deer that were running and crossing the road at the same spot. I was spotted them from a good distance away and was able to get into position to photograph them in time. 9 Photograph of a deer jumping on to a road and trying to cross with traffic coming towards it. 12 Here is a photograph of a deer running out in front of traffic with an SUV coming down the road just seconds behind away from disaster, but they saw me and slowed down then saw the group of deer running across the road. 13 I'm really loving the new zoom lens that I picked up a couple weeks ago. I was a good distance away from the deer running around in the National Wildlife Refuge but I was still able to photograph them from the path I was on. 14 Here is a photograph of Deer running around in the National Wildlife Refuge along Blackdog Lake. 15 Here is a photograph of four of the deer that were running around in the wildlife area. 16 Here is something I did not expect to see but I was able to photograph a flock of Trumpeter Swans (Cygnus buccinator) feeding in Black Dog lake with a couple of Geese in the background. 18 Here is something I did not expect to see but I was able to photograph a flock of Trumpeter Swans (Cygnus buccinator) feeding in Black Dog lake. |
